Ole Gunnar Solskjaer reveals that Manchester United have prepared well and ready to take on Villarreal in Wednesday’s Europa League final.

Solskjaer’s 26-man squad to Gdansk has not ruled out his Skipper Harry Maguire with the only absentees being Anthony Martial and Phil Jones. According to Solskjaer, Maguire is still in contention and could still make the line-up.

“We’ve prepared well. Anthony didn’t make it, Phil didn’t make it, of course, and Harry is just going to jog up and down the sidelines [in training],” Solskjaer said.

“I reckon he’ll try to join in a bit,” he added. “Apart from that, we’re looking quite good.”

Solskjaer faces a tough test in goal with David De Gea and Dean Henderson contending for a start. Also in the forward, he is spoiled with choice with Mason Greenwood’s fine form promoting his claims for a start.

“It’s always difficult to leave players out throughout the whole season,” the Norwegian explained.

“A final is a reward for what’s been done in the whole season then. If there’s a doubt between a couple, it’s the form in the latter stages, of course.

“We’ll enjoy the last session and the players will get the team tomorrow [Wednesday],” Solskjaer concluded.

Meanwhile, the Spanish side Villarreal are also sweating for fitness for Polish Samuel Chukwueze. Unai Emery is holding high hopes that they will be involved. Also, there are doubts over the availability of on-loan Tottenham defender Juan Foyth.

However, the former Arsenal tactician receives a boost after Etienne Capoue resumes after serving his suspension. Despite such a boost, they suffer a blow as Vicente Iborra is confirmed to be out of the Europa clash.

Also, the coach faces a big decision on who to start between the post with first-choice Sergio Asenjo available and Geronimo Rulli. Notably, Rulli has been the keeper in the Europa League ties.
